Letter To Teacher

Dear Teachers and School Administration:

Last November Bluegrass Youth Ballet performed school performances of Dia de los Muertos: A Mexican Celebration of Life and Death for school children! We received fabulous feedback from the teachers and students who attended, and we would like for even more students to be able to visit us at the theatre this year!

You now have the opportunity to bring your students to a wonderful cultural and educational performance as we are getting ready for Dia de los Muertos: A Mexican Celebration of Life and Death. This performance will be on Friday, October 12th at 10:00 AM at the Singletary Center Concert Hall. A Mexican holiday rich with the sights, sounds and traditions of Mexico will be introduced through dance, music, costumes and more! Unlike most ballets, we include a bilingual (English and Spanish) narration for students to follow, making their experience understandable and exposing them to the Spanish language.

We provide Teacher Guides connected to Core Content and we include a bilingual (English and Spanish) question and answer session at the end of the performance. This performance is great for students in grades 3-12. It is our hope that you will allow us to give children the opportunity for a cultural, educational, arts experience that will capture their imaginations and teach them in the process. Please contact Jen Levine, BYB Administrative Director, if you have any further questions at 859-271-4472 or jen@bluegrassyouthballet.com. We look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Levine,
BYB Administrative Director
