Performances
Three yearly performances (Fall, Winter, and Spring) will be open for BYB dancers. These performances are choreographed based
on the number and ability of the dancers. Students are encouraged to participate and to perform. After all, dance is a
performing art, and dancing on stage can only perfect it. BYB performances are educational and/or cultural, or they are an
abridged version of a Classical Ballet. We make most of the costumes and props by hand. Performers pay a small performance fee
for the rental of their costume(s) and to help with the overall expenses of BYB performances. BYB depends on parent or relative
volunteers to help construct costumes, scenery, props, etc.
By offering child-friendly productions, BYB hopes to educate and enhance the quality of life of the community, as well as to
entertain and to provide an hour full of color and fun.
BYB performs at the Lexington Opera House, The Lyric Theatre, and Singletary Center for the Arts. BYB also offers performances
to public and private schools.
