RULES & POLICIES

FOR THE DANCERS:
• Present your best behavior and manners at all times.
• You will be asked to leave class if you are caught making comments about other students' dancing or making fun of a fellow dancer.
Clean up after yourself. This is your place… make it look nice, even if you didn't mess it up! Thanks!
Food and sweetened drinks are not allowed in the studios. There is a water fountain in the facility.
No running or screaming in the halls. Dancing takes concentration and you might distract someone. Please be respectful of the learning environment.
No gum allowed in the studios. We have special floors and we must take good care of them.
• If you must be absent, you or your parent must call ahead of time to let us know, especially if you drive yourself. You are welcome to make up your missed class in the level below yours pending the director or instructor’s approval.
Wear your uniform. Leg warmers, shirts, pants, shorts and skirts must be removed before class. Skirts are allowed in rehearsals or variation classes only. Students from levels F and G may wear any plain color leotard on Saturdays and for rehearsals only. All students' blue BYB leotards must be embroidered with the logo. Boys should also wear their uniform including shoes.

• If you are a female dancer, wear your hair in a tight, sleek bun. We can put it up for you once, but if you fail to come to class with your hair up again, we will ask you to join the class after putting it up.
Don't wear jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, ankle bracelets and watches. You will be asked to remove them and they might get lost.
• Make sure to write your name on all your belongings including water bottles. They all look alike!
• A Lost & Found box is located in the facility.
• If you are cast in a performance, you must attend at least 95% of the rehearsals. If you must miss rehearsal, call ahead of time. It is your own responsibility to catch up on the choreography. You can be taken out of the show if you miss two rehearsals in a row without notice.
• If the teacher gives you a correction during class, you must do your best to apply it immediately and let the teacher know you understood and you will apply it. The same applies if the teacher gives a correction to someone else!
• The most important dance tool is your body; you must take care of it! You must eat properly, sleep plenty, drink lots of fluids and avoid injuries at all cost.
Arrive early (10min.) so you can prepare yourself. If there is an open studio, feel free to use it to stretch or warm up before class. You will be asked to sit down and take notes if you arrive 15 min. late or more, unless you call ahead of time. This missed class cannot be made up.
• Do not leave the classroom in the middle of class without permission.
• OLDER STUDENTS: You must set the example to the young students. Be courteous and respectful at all times. They look up to you!

FOR THE PARENTS:
• Please pick up your children ON TIME. Fifteen minutes after the class is over, we will have to charge you a baby-sitting fee.
Please pay on time. BYB will not send invoices. Tuition is due on the first seven days of the month. After day seven, you will be charged an extra $1 late fee per day. If after the 15th BYB has not received a payment, the student will not be allowed in class unless an agreement was made ahead of time. Second brothers and sisters will receive a 20% discount. Registration fees must be paid yearly. Returned checks will incur a $30 fee. If a student must withdraw they must notify BYB 30 days prior to their withdrawal date, or you will be charged a tuition payment at the monthly rate for your level.
• Younger brothers and sisters are always welcome, please supervise children even if they are in playroom, and help us pick up after them. Please refrain from bringing pets into BYB!!
• The Director always welcomes your comments and suggestions. If you must talk to us, please choose a time when she is not about to start a class. Thank you for your consideration.
The Artistic Staff has final word on casting, evaluating levels, rehearsals and performances. Please be respectful of their decisions.

Thank You.
